How does it work?
Performance based financing for all event types
Box Office Funding provides financing once ticket sales have begun. We unlock the cash tied up in the box office and fund up to 50% of your box office revenue as sales progress. Please note that deposits for venues, deposits for artists, and other expenses paid prior to the start of ticket sales are not financed by Box Office Funding.
Step One:
Tell us about your event
As you’re planning or producing your event, apply on our website and tell us about yourself and your event. We’ll give you a call to chat about your event and the opportunity. We respond quickly and will let you know if we need any additional information.
Step Two:
We research your event’s potential
One of the most important steps in our underwriting process is to determine the financial viability of your event. We use a variety of data to calculate the event’s revenue potential and attendance performance. This data is used to establish an advance limit for the event.
Step Three:
Sign and send disbursement agreement to the venue
Once the underwriting is complete and you’re approved for the advance, we’ll send you a disbursement agreement that will need to be signed by both you (the promoter) and an authorized agent of the venue. This agreement will need to be notarized in order to be valid.
Step Four:
Generate ticket sales and receive funding
As you start generating ticket sales, we will advance funds for your event based on the revenue you have produced. We will fund up to 50% of your current box office revenue to cover the cost of scheduled deposits, marketing expenses, or any other costs associated with your event.
Step Five:
Put on a successful event!
All of your deposits and expenses are paid. Now is the time to produce a great event for your attendees! Once you have produced your event, the venue will disburse the settlement to both you and Box Office Funding.
